Tapatap integrates mobile gaming suite with Photobucket API

Integration allows Photobucket media to be used to create photo games for fun and prizes directly from mobile phones

San Mateo, CA (April 22, 2008) Tapatap (www.tapatap.com and m.tapatap.com), the leader in social photo games for mobile phones, announced the integration of the newly released Photobucket API into Tapatap's suite of mobile photo games. Through the integration, photos stored on Photobucket can be seamlessly entered directly into all of Tapatap's photo games directly from mobile devices.

The Photobucket API has enabled Tapatap to enhance its mobile WAP service, allowing users to access their Photobucket photos from within the m.tapatap.com mobile site.

"Tapatap is thrilled to be one of the first mobile gaming applications to integrate the Photobucket API," said Andy Riedel, President & CTO Tapatap. "Allowing Photobucket's 40 million users to have direct access to their photo galleries and easily enter photos directly into Tapatap's photo games will raise the bar for mobile photo gaming. This integration will help accelerate our vision of a Mobile 2.0 world where services work as seamlessly on mobile devices as they do on the web."

"Our mission at Photobucket has always been to give people the power to upload and share photos and videos -- whether on blogs, social networks, auction sites, or consumer devices," said Alex Welch, president, Photobucket. "The broad release of our API offers new opportunities for people to illustrate their lives and share what they create with others. We're excited to see what a community of talented developers will do to extend our photo and video platform and tap into the creativity and passion of our users."

Here's how it works:
* Login to your Tapatap profile and select a poll, quiz or photo contest.
* After clicking "Enter Photo", click on "Login To Photobucket" to securely log into your Photobucket album or click "Search Photos" to access the Photobucket public gallery.

San Mateo, CA (April 5, 2008) Tapatap held two mobile charity contests to determine the Tapatap community's favorite charities, one local and one national charity. The two favorite charities were each awarded 41,625 shares of common private Tapatap stock for receiving the most votes. After three months of submissions and voting, two charities received the most votes. Make-a-Wish Foundation, located in Phoenix, AZ and dedicated to granting wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, won the most votes for the National Charity Contest.

Advocates for Children, located in San Mateo County, CA and focused on supporting and mentoring abused and neglected children, won the most votes for the local Charity Contest. "We are ecstatic to announce the two charity winners, as they both make it their mission to service neglected and sick children. When we started Tapatap it was always our objective to give something back to our communities," says Isaac Babbs, CEO and Co-Founder of Tapatap. "The Tapatap community did a fantastic job using our voting platform to determine the winners."

Over the three month voting period, the National Charity contest received 44 entries and a total of 10,276 votes. The local charity contest received 13 entries and a total of 2,982 votes. Any registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization charity was eligible for submission, and anyone could vote for their favorite charity on their mobile phone or on the web. Bango Analytics reveals valuable benchmarking data for mobile advertisers

Click through and conversion rates provide benchmarks on which to measure success.

San Mateo, CA (April 1, 2008) Bango today published click through and conversion rates from mobile advertising campaigns to help marketers measure the success of their campaigns. Banner and text ads on mobile websites typically have a click through rate of 2-8% with a conversion rate of 2-5% which can be as high as 12% on some networks. This data was collected by Bango customers who use Bango Analytics to measure their mobile marketing campaigns.

Data clearly shows that when the offer is closely aligned to the needs of a particular consumer profile, click-through and conversion rates increase, often doubling. Using Bango Analytics mobile site owners can determine the characteristics of those most receptive to their marketing message. This information is then used to focus marketing campaigns on the countries, networks and handsets which return the highest conversion rates.

AdEye, a mobile marketing company that uses Bluetooth technology to target ads at consumers, ran billboard ads for Sony Ericsson and selected Bango Analytics so it could analyze the responses.

"We want to understand more about who was clicking through – what network were they on, what device did used, how they responded to the offer, what they did next? Bango Analytics gives us this level of detail which is incredibly valuable to our clients." – Tommy Jensen, CEO of AdEye.

Data from Bango Analytics showed that 47% of responses came from the number three mobile operator in Denmark, Telia, while just 29% came from the largest operator, TDC. An impressive 32.9% of the users that made a Bluetooth request went to the WAP campaign site.

By looking at the Bango Analytics data, Tapatap – a mobile social game site – calculated mobile ad conversion rates and acquisition costs per member. The impressive conversion rates have confirmed Tapatap’s strategy of focusing their marketing on mobile.

"We are using Bango Analytics for a wide range of tasks – one is to audit the traffic we are getting from the various traffic networks we use. We aggregate traffic from a wide variety of sources and wanted an independent means to ensure that the traffic we receive is what we are paying for. Bango Analytics has proven to be very valuable as an independent auditing tool." - Andy Riedel, CEO of Tapatap.

The key to a successful mobile advertising campaign is buying traffic from the right mobile network as the subscriber profile of each varies – some have a younger demographic, others more professional users or more willing to try out innovative, new services.

"Our clients are interested in carrier-based targeting. One of our advertisers placed ads across our mobile social networking SMS inventory. The short text-based ads included a URL to download a branded mobile game. We used Bango Analytics to track click-throughs and compare results across the major carriers." – Derek Merrill, Chief Innovation Officer at MoVoxx, a mobile advertising agency focused exclusively on SMS marketing.

It is easy to insert tags or tracking links into the mobile site to identify traffic from advertising campaigns and search keywords. Data collected can quickly be analyzed to determine the return on investment from each campaign. Bango Analytics operates as a hosted service, allowing mobile website owners anywhere in the world to connect their sites to the Analytics service in minutes and start getting results free of charge. Try it at www.bango.com/analytics.
