Tapatap is "Your Contest Community" offering infinite contests for fun and prizes. Create your own contests to share and enter your photos to win. Explore the community and see how your votes stack up. Tap enough points and take home some goodies!

Tapatap is a 2.0 social contest platform. Our mission is to create social entertainment networks where you and the community are the fun. You create it, share it, and play it wherever you are across both the web and mobile devices.

Tapatap is for anyone who wants to join a community where they can play in contests, submit photos into contests, or create their own contests for fun and prizes. People are joining Tapatap to create contests amongst friends (e.g. "Who's the hottest girl in our dorm?"), rate crazy pictures from last night's party, and compete against the community to be the best Tapper! You must be at least 13 years old to become a Tapatap member.

You can play Tapatap contests as a guest, but you must be a member to do anything else, e.g. create contests, submit photos into contests, keep track of your Tokens, communicate with other members, etc.

Becoming a Tapatap member is absolutely free! Here's how:

• Sign up and create a profile (add your picture and description of yourself)
• Invite your friends to join or search for friends who've already joined the Tapatap community
• Start tapping! This means voting for your favorite contests, submitting photos into contests, and even creating your own fun contests!

You can access Tapatap at www.tatatap.com on the web or at m.tapatap.com on your mobile web browser.

Get started by first creating a profile. Then you can start tapping (voting in contests, submitting photos into contests, or creating your own contests)! Don't forget to invite your friends!

You can create a profile by clicking on Join Now and entering your information. We highly encourage you to upload a profile photo and fill out a description of yourself so the community can know a little more about you!

You can edit your profile by clickng on the Edit Profile link in your profile.

You can access Tapatap on your mobile phone at m.tapatap.com on your mobile phone's web browser

You can either:

• Go to m.tapatap.com on your mobile phone or
• Go to the Mobile page, enter your phone number and carrier, and we'll send you a link to the mobile web page in a text message.

You can access Tapatap at m.tapatap.com on your mobile phone's web browser on any phone that has a web browser.

Standard carrier charges for accessing data will apply for using Tapatap on your mobile phone.

• Have a mobile phone that supports a minimum 2.5G Network
  
  
• Have an unlimited data plan with your carrier. For example, if you're a Verizon user, we recommend a V-cast phone with a data plan. If you're a Sprint user, we recommend having a Power Vision data plan. If you're a AT&T/Cingular or T-Mobile user, we recommend a phone that supports at minimum the EDGE network with a data plan.
  
  
• By the way, Tapatap will work great on a regular network with an a la carte data plan too!

Creating your own contests is one of the best ways to get involved in the Tapatap community. Contests are what keep Tapatap fun and interesting! You can create either open contests (anyone can submit photos) or closed contests (only you can submit photos).

To create a contest:

• Click on the Create a Contest button on the right hand navigation panel.
• Fill out the details of the contest, i.e. rating versus face off, title of contest, description of contest, tags, start and end dates, and entry details.
• Upload your contest photos
• Share your contest with your friends! Have them vote in your contest and submit photos into your contest.

You can submit a photo to a contest in two ways:

From the Web

Upload a photo to any open contest using the Submit Photo button on the contest page. Remember to add a title to your photos!

From your Mobile Phone

• Email your photo to your photo email address and it will automatically put it into your Photo Gallery page. You can find your photo email address on your My Profile page when logged in on your phone.
• Some mobile phones (Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Blackberry, Treo, and Windows Mobile) let you upload photos directly while you're using the Tapatap service.

It's fun and simple to enter a contest and see how your photos rate in the Tapatap community. Your photos will help make the Tapatap community a much more fun place for everyone.

Entering a contest is easy:

1. Click on the Enter button for any open contest you want to enter your photo
2. Add photos from your photo collection on either your PC or mobile device
3. Invite your friends to vote on your contest!

Voting on contests is a fun and entertaining way of spending your time whether you're at home or on the go! You can vote on either Face-off or Rating contests.

In the Face-off contest, you accumulate Tokens by choosing the photos you think the Tapatap Community mostly voted for. In the Rating contest, you accumulate Tokens by rating the photo as close to the Tapatap community's average rating for that photo.

In a Rating contest, you rate the photo on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest). You choose the rating you think the community chose. The closer your rating, the more Tokens you receive.

In a Face-off contest, you choose between 2 photos. Choose the photo you think the community chose and earn Tokens.

A sponsored contest is a contest sponsored by another company. Sponsored contests typically have prizes associated with them. The prizes vary depending on the sponsor.

A Tapatap Monthly Prize Contest is a contest created by Tapatap that involves prizes. These contests last for one month. Presently, there are 4 different Tapatap Monthly Prize Contests, each offering $100 worth of prizes per month. For any given contest, you may only win the Tapatap Monthly Prize Contest once per year.

You can only modify a contest that you've created yourself. Go to My Profile, click on Manage under My Contests, and modify your contest.

All Tapatap contests are public and can be viewed by anyone who visits the site.

Share your contest with your friends by clicking on the Share Contest button in any contest and entering your friends' email addresses or mobile phone numbers from your mobile phone. You can import email addresses from your personal email account such as gmail, hotmail, yahoo, aol, etc.

You can only edit a contest that you've created. You can edit the contest category, title, description, tags, contest start and end date, and entry details of the contest.

Tokens are earned by playing on Tapatap. While tokens can be earned for some activities on the web, there are many more ways to earn tokens on Tapatap mobile on your phone. Tokens can be redeemed for cool prizes and rewards when Club Tapatap launches this summer!

Club Tapatap will be available exclusively on your mobile phone. If you're not using Tapatap on your phone yet, you can either:

• Go to m.tapatap.com on your mobile phone or
• Go to the Mobile page on the website, enter your phone number and carrier, and we'll send you a link to the mobile web page in a text message.

You can view the Total Tokens you've earned in your profile.

Tokens can be earned by playing Tapatap on the web and on your phone. While you can earn some tokens on the web, there are many more ways on your phone including more games like HottieGPS, Quizzes, and Polls that are not available on the web. You will only be able to redeem your tokens on your phone when we open Club Tapatap this summer.

• +500 for sharing contests with friends

From Faceoff Contests:

• +100 for entering a photo in a prize contest
• +50 for creating valid contest with 5 entries
• +25 for entering a photo in a non-prize contest
• +25 for receiving a vote on a photo you entered
• +10x Streak for vote matching community
• +5 for vote not matching community

From Rating Contests:

• +100 for entering a photo in a prize contest
• +50 for creating valid contest with 5 entries
• +25 for entering a photo in a non-prize contest
• +25 for receiving a vote on a photo you entered
• +10 for making the 1st vote
• +10 for very accurate vote
• +8 for accurate vote
• +5 for neutral vote
• +2 for inaccurate vote

HottieGPS (Mobile Only):

• +100 for being picked
• +10 for picking a hottie

Quizzes (Mobile Only):

• +25 for creating a quiz
• +10 when someone answers your quiz
• +10 for correct answer
• +5 for incorrect answer

Polls (Mobile Only):

• +25 for creating a poll
• +10 when someone answers your poll
• +10 for answering a poll

Voter and Creator points are being replaced by our new Token system. We will no longer be running daily and monthly leader boards for Voter and Creator points or awarding prizes for them.

You can only vote once for each photo in a Rating contest and once for each pair of photos in a Face-off contest.

Once you have tapped your vote, you cannot change it.

You can win prizes on Tapatap in 2 different ways:

• Submitting Photos into Contests with Prizes - As a Contestant, win the popular vote for any photo you submit into a prize contest. Some prize contests offer prizes to multiple contestants.
  
  
• Club Tapatap - When Club Tapatap launches on your mobile phone this summer, you will be able to redeem Tokens for raffle tickets into weekly and monthly prize drawings.
  
  

You can win different types of prizes on Tapatap in different ways:

• Tapatap Monthly Prize Contests - $100 in cash or in the form of a gift certificate for the first place in each monthly contest
  
  
• Sponsored Contests - Prizes and number of prizes are determined by the sponsor of the contest
  
  
• Club Tapatap - When Club Tapatap launches, there will be weekly and monthly prize drawings. The prize amounts are TBD
  

You can redeem your prize by clicking on the Redeem Prize button on the right-hand side navigation panel of the home page and following the instructions.

You can become part of the Tapatap community by creating a profile. You can create a profile by clicking on Join Now and filling out some basic information. Don't forget to upload a profile photo and enter a description of yourself!

You can only send messages to members that are designated as your friends, unless they accept messages from others. Simply click on the Send Message link when you see it on a profile.

You can add someone as a friend by going to their profile and clicking the Add Friend link.

A friend is someone that you invite or who has invited you and you mutually accept to be in each other's network.

If you don't want to have contact with a specific member, you can block that member from sending you messages by going to their profile and clicking on the Block User icon.

If you find inappropriate content on the site, please let us know! You can send a report to us by clicking on the Report icon in any contest.
